Managing Your Club

The Club Profile page will allow you to specify numerous options for your website. This includes basic information such as club name and address, display theme, club alias names, domain names, competition types, competition levels, competition places, and point calculations.

You should create some "welcome text" that will appear on your home page. We recommend a short paragraph or two about your club.

A domain name link using PhotoClubServices.com will be provided automatically when you create your website, but you will probably want to add another more meaningful entry. If you have a registered domain name you can point it to your new website, or define a temporary name while you are testing our services.

Competition definitions can be detailed and lengthy. Fortunately you will probably be able to copy definitions created by another club or use our defaults. Look for the "Import" fields at the bottom of each competition tab. Once you have copied in some definitions you can alter them to match your specific needs.

Locations

Locations are used by the system to provide more information than just an address. You will include one of your defined addresses with a location, but you can also add photos and descriptions. Think of a location as a venue, such as your meeting place. Your club contact page will reference your meeting location, which can provide more information than just an address.

Club Calendar

Club meetings and other items that may appear on your club calendar are considered "events" on your website. You can manually create an Event using the Manage Events menu item.

You may consider importing a list of events. Look for the "Import Events" button on the Manage Events page. Instructions are provided on the layout of an import file.

Other Information

From the Administration menu you can also manage Forums, Events, Files and custom web pages, and member clubs. Member Clubs is used you setting up a council or regional group. You would name all the member clubs that are allowed to participate in your competitions.
